Embrace Capitalism Remixed EP IS OUT on Oráculo Records!
Embrace Capitalism (until it strangles you) -based on famous quotes by so diverse personalities as, for example, Albert Einstein, Michael Moore or Henry Rollins from Black Flag- was the first project single in late 2020 and expresses a forceful anti-capitalist message covered up among a tangle of electronic sounds: EBM, industrial, techno, electro, synthwave and noise.
Now, Abraxas physical debut is out, a brand new EP released in a limited edition one-off yellow vinyl pressing of 300 copies on Oráculo Records with remixes by relevant artists and producers from the Spanish electronic darkwave scene as Univac (Geistform), NightCrawler, We Are Not Brothers, José Rodríguez and PanDemian. This is the first of 3 remix EPs coming out throughout 2021.
In the other hand, the music video -idea by Snoop and directed by Juan Carlos Cembreros (ScreenWarriors) and starring the model Miranda Díez– shows the degradation of the Western individual (to which capitalism itself submits with its subtle mechanisms we all embrace with supposed happiness), represented in a hyper-explicit way, capturing this concept in a pretty young woman who ends up totally shattered and unhinged because in our society, the youngest are the most susceptible to capitalist trickery and women are, particularly, the most disadvantaged in a still unbalanced balance between genders at all levels. In addition to this, in this sad 21st century we are witnessing the tyranny of beauty and the hyper-sexualization of young girls.
That’s why Abraxas claims -ironically- to embrace capitalism, to allow your own and others exploitation and attend your own suicide.
Hope you like it. Hope you dance to it. Hope you think of it.
